Left foot high left, right hand to the bad sloper, bump right to the first shell and bump right once more to get a bit higher on that shell, match the shell and step the right foot through to the foothold, right arm fully around the second shell, come up high and close to the shell and step the left foot through behind to the good crimp, then rotate the right arm from the full wrap to holding it like a sloper while you bring the right foot wide to the second sloper, then left hand from the first shell to the crimp, then left hip to the wall and match the bad shell and with the right hand to the crimp, right foot into the first good shell and with the left to the top sloper, left foot wide on the volume and match.
In Klaas Vanhee’s artistic practice, drawing has always carried a dual meaning: it is both an act and a way of exploring the possibilities of reproduction, repetition, and translation. Through different drawing methods, he investigates how a line can circulate and transform. Each drawing thus forms part of a broader process in which notes, copies, scans, and variations are just as important as the final images.
